Iman's Little Study Entry #1

I've been playing around on my phone. I don't usually do that, but I’m trying it out. I worry that my stories exist in a bubble and want to be a more well-rounded creator. I don't think it's possible if I don't interact with people outside of my bubble. It's been interesting… I'm responding to 5 different men not including Omar and Adnan. Those two are not included because they exist within my bubble. The 5 men playing on my phone are being studied. They are deviations from my usual standards.
Here is a list:
Confidential
Comedienne
Hometown
Local
Monochrome
Today, we’re diving in on Confidential, the furthest outside of my type.
Confidential started sort of strong. He was confident and really that's all the positive I have to say about him. However, I'm committed to interacting with different personalities to better my world view and improve as a creative. It took him just over 13 hours to really start getting on my nerves. He has been texting me constantly. Like in a way that makes me flag him as unemployed. You see, he’s not having any sort of conversation with me. He's not saying much of anything of substance. He's not making plans. He's not getting to know me. He is literally just playing around on my phone. He said lots of things that were jaw dropping. He told me he took off from work yesterday because he had heartburn and was sleepy, he told me he cannot tell me what his job is because it's “classified”, and to send him voice notes because he can't read. I'm sure that last one may have been funny to someone else, but I actually know that the average man literally cannot read. It's not funny, it's an epidemic. They have little to no reading comprehension outside of corporate jargon and directions. So, I took him for his word on that one. Most annoying though, was this text

I almost blocked, I really wanted to, but I am learning. I have never in my life had someone ask me that question, but I know people like that exist because I see them arguing about things like that on Twitter and Facebook. When I read that text, I thought to myself “there's no way he can get a date with this attitude”, but I know that's not true because he's 30 years old and confident. He's handsome, so I guess he’s riding on that, but wowza. I'm sure I'm a sort of outlier to him too. Certainly I am because he asked me for validation of interest multiple times instead of considering that he wasn't doing a good job of talking to me. I haven't responded to his last text.
My questions from this interaction are:
What kind of person is attracted to a stingy, yapper of a man that tries to frame himself as mysterious instead of just providing information that can help someone better understand him?
What kind of person is this kind of man looking for?
How do they interact?
What makes a relationship successful for them?
I want to keep probing this subject. I hope I can keep my snarky nature at bay long enough to continue my research.
